Born in London - but grew up in the care system in Portsmouth. After leaving school, I joined the RAF and served for 9 years. Left the forces and now work as a newsreader for ITV Granada. Growing up in the care system I owe everything to my late foster mother Audrey - who always had the utmost faith in me.
